Shady Lane
Building on the success of Myotis, Modifier are back with our second original release on Voco Records. Shady Lane is a rasping electronic groove that breaks in to a euphoric yet melancholic melody and then slams you back to deepness. Twisted and glitchy yet dance floor friendly.
A fine remix package starts off with Endemic Digital boss Wez Saunders who is certainly on a roll with production and DJ-ing right now. He adds cool fx to twist the melodies and adds a hypnotic bassline to retain the vibe and delivers a corker of a mix. Voco favourites My Devices (names after cardboard boxes containing their studio equipment!) supply a stomper of a mix utilising the melancholic riff and subtle bass changes and bit of moment for the breakdown. Justin Steel tops off this great package, and with recent support from heavyweights such as Luciano and Sasha, its no surprise that here it’s about the groove of the rhythm interspersed with stabs and teases from the original.
DJ Support
Shady Lane is gathering support from top international DJs including Sasha, Laurent Garnier, Richie Hawtin, Dave Seaman, Hernan Cattaneo, Stephan Bodzin, Darin Epsilon, and many more. Some specifics…
Sasha - ”…nice twisted but uplifting…My Devices supply a cool remix too.”
